Black Squirrel Farms collects and processes the wild black walnuts that grow on our New York State land and those of other area growers.
Our next collection program kicks off in Fall 2021. We provide large burlap bags to those willing to fill them with black walnuts and return them to 590 State Route 14, Penn Yan, NY or 1409 Curtis Co-op Rd. Sterling, NY 13156. We will pay for walnuts collected, 2021 prices to be announced, and we pay more for those dropped off vs. picked up. We have a limited number of nut rollers to lend to sites with more than one or two producing trees.
Joining is free and you will receive 2021 program updates which include information about how to participate, including when we will be open for the season. Not ready to join? Ask us a question or let us know you want to talk to someone who participated in our 2020 program.
Are you expecting lots of 2021 walnuts but likely unable to collect them yourself? We're trying to find a solution for sites like yours, whether that happens this year or in coming years. Let us know you have trees and walnuts by joining the program using the link above and you'll be notified if we have a collection option for you.
Many thanks to our 2019 and 2020 program members who have collectively gathered over six tons of raw walnuts! We hope you will join us again in 2021; no need to re-register.
